Meet Our Paws and Claws

Meet Bear

When we heard about Bear, we knew we had to help.

The Pennsylvania SPCA was given Bear after he was found on a North Philadelphia street. He was completely emaciated and his time left was said to be very slim. Luckily, the pspca was able to start treating him but his condition worsened. Bear underwent surgery about two weeks ago where foreign objects were found and removed, and they report that he is improving every day.
Hearing about Bear’s story, like so many others, brought us to tears so we decided to meet the remainder of his fundraising goal!

Check out the PSPCA for more updates and information on Bear. He still has a ways to go and your support matters for pups like him.

Animal Hoarding Case - Galloway, NJ

Humane Society of Atlantic County

In a recent, heart-wrenching case of animal hoarding in Galloway Township, approximately 25 dogs and a single cat were discovered living in deplorable conditions, with insufficient access to food and water. This discovery came about following a police investigation at a residence, where unfortunately, a deceased dog was also found on the premises. The surviving animals were taken into the incredible care of The Humane Society of Atlantic County , where they are now being rehabilitated and prepared for adoption.

Our president visited the Humane Society to help support some of the animals of the case and donate on behalf of Paws On Death Row. This contribution will directly assist in the ongoing care and future rehoming of these animals, each of whom is in desperate need of a second chance at a loving home.

For those interested in supporting or adopting from the Humane Society of Atlantic County, you can visit their website to learn more about their mission, the pets available for adoption, and how to contribute to their cause. This case highlights the ongoing need for community support in addressing animal welfare issues and the importance of organizations in providing care and assistance to animals in need.

Meet Callie

Our sponsorship of a cat condo at Animal Welfare League of Alexandria has sweet Callie as a new tenant, but not for long, she has an adoption hold! YAY! They sent us an update on this green-eyed girl:

I’m Callie and I’m a pretty tortie kitty with sparkling green eyes. Check this lovely coat! I’m also a sweet and social gal who’s ready to embark on the next phase of life, finding my special person. I love pets, head rubs, and stimulating conversation. I like a comfy bed to curl up in for naps. I like to explore my surroundings so a window to look out would be great. Good chow and tasty treats would be appreciated too. I’m a charming kitty and awesome company.

We’re so happy to hear that this sweet girl is being adopted to her furever home, but there are plenty more tenants still looking for one.
If you think you could be a purrfect match for someone, visit www.alexandriaanimals.org for adoption details.

Meet Pepe

Our sponsorship of a cat condo at Animal Welfare League of Alexandria has landed Mr. Pepe as one if its new tenants and they sent us a little story about his awesome antics at the shelter:

Meet Pepe. The superhero cat of comic tales. Pepe’s life took a thrilling turn when he single-pawedly thwarted a sneaky cheese heist. With his quick wit and boundless energy he outsmarted the notorious Rat Gang, saving the town’s cheese supply.

Unfortunately in the chaos, he lost his way home and ended up at the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria. His adventures are filled with laughter and sweet moments, making him a lovable hero. His friendly nature and humorous antics make every day brighter!

Meet Tyson

Tyson was part of an animal cruelty case. He and 7 other canines were found dehydrated, emaciated to the point that his lumbar and pelvic bones were visible, and with observable muscle loss. Discoloration around his neck showed a history of chaining for long periods. Houston Humane Society provided him with the medical care, nutritious diet, and attention he needed to get back to a healthy state. Unfortunately, Tyson recently tested positive for heartworms and we need your help to further his recovery!

Meet Betty

Hi, I’m Betty! You wouldn’t believe it, but just a few weeks ago I was a scared little kitten who hid and hissed at everyone because they were so much bigger than me. Now, after being in a foster home, I’ve learned that people are really nice, and other cats and dogs are so much fun to play and cuddle with! I’m outgoing and confident, and I love to follow my foster mom from room to room to see what’s going on. I love to be pet, and I’m learning to enjoy being held. I also love playing with toys and laser pointers. If you want a super active, sweet, playful kitten, I’m your girl! I can’t wait to have a forever family of my own.

Meet Brownie

I was abandoned by my first family and a kind gentleman helped me find a new family. Sadly, they were moving away and didn’t want me to go with them, so they abandoned me too. Thankfully, they left me at the Houston Humane Society where they have been taking care of me, feeding me, and playing with me. A lot of families that come by like spending time with me, but none of them have taken me home because of my treatable heartworms. Will you help sponsor me to find a forever home?
